From my point of view, the price/quality ratio is hard to beat.
"Le Frigoulet is simply fantastic for athletes and nature lovers. As a 75-year-old mountain biker, this is the 22nd time I've been to what is our second home with my wife.
Why? The house is quietly located amidst fantastic nature and is clean. The staff and guests are on first-name terms and become friends over the course of their stay. If there's such a thing as truly existing socialism, it's at Le Frigoulet!
The manager and the entire staff are attentive, down-to-earth, and considerate, and strive to read the guests' wishes in their eyes. The chef (currently Vincent) knows his trade and prepares a four-course menu every evening using regional ingredients that meets every requirement. The trails, maintained by guides and assistants, are varied for virtually all levels and almost inexhaustible. And the guides (m/f) are passionate, well-trained mountain bikers, they know all the trails and also provide information on the history of the Ardèche and the region.
