Welcome to our hotel in the heart of the lavender fields: Domaine du Frigoulet
Domaine du Frigoulet is an 18th-century farmhouse that we have carefully renovated and extended, preserving its authentic southern French charm. Nestled in a little corner of paradise above the Ardèche Gorges, the estate blends perfectly into this unspoiled landscape of plateaus, clear streams, and the scent of lavender and wild thyme.
In the heart of nature: our Domaine du Frigoulet offers you a vast space of tranquility. Covering over 60 hectares of land, with its natural springs and pine, oak, and chestnut forest, the estate is an ideal starting point for hiking, horseback riding, climbing, and, of course, mountain biking.
A charming, typically Provençal hotel, passionately run by a Swiss family.
Our natural park
Domaine du Frigoulet has 18 different rooms and 3 holiday apartments.
Our restaurant offers a generous breakfast buffet, light snacks at lunchtime and a 4-course dinner in the evening.
Our wine cellar is full of excellent and lesser-known vintages from the region, and at the bar, you can enjoy a cold beer or a spirit from the four corners of the world.
Enjoy a refreshing swim in the pool or relax in one of our hammocks in the shade of the forest!
On our in-house trails, you can explore nature by mountain bike or on foot – whether for a leisurely stroll or a sporty outing.

"Le Frigoulet is simply fantastic for athletes and nature lovers. As a 75-year-old mountain biker, this is the 22nd time I've been to what is our second home with my wife.
Why? The house is quietly located amidst fantastic nature and is clean. The staff and guests are on first-name terms and become friends over the course of their stay. If there's such a thing as truly existing socialism, it's at Le Frigoulet!
The manager and the entire staff are attentive, down-to-earth, and considerate, and strive to read the guests' wishes in their eyes. The chef (currently Vincent) knows his trade and prepares a four-course menu every evening using regional ingredients that meets every requirement. The trails, maintained by guides and assistants, are varied for virtually all levels and almost inexhaustible. And the guides (m/f) are passionate, well-trained mountain bikers, they know all the trails and also provide information on the history of the Ardèche and the region.
