Our first excursion takes us north, where we discover the captivating landscapes of the Ardèche. We follow the Voie Verte (Greenway) which crosses the entire department. This former railway line was transformed a few years ago into an idyllic cycle path. Passing over old bridges and through tunnels that compensate for the slight elevation changes, we arrive in charming villages such as Balazuc and Labeaume, which offer us a wonderful glimpse of the beauty of this region. Approximately 65 km.

Today, we're exploring the south of France and its enchanting landscapes. We're crossing endless lavender fields, vineyards, and charming rolling hills. Finally, we reach the banks of the Cèze, an idyllic river that flows parallel to the Ardèche from the Cévennes mountains to the Rhône. Approximately 60 km.

A special attraction awaits us today: we cross the garrigue of southern France and reach the Bois de Païolive, one of the largest karst mountains in Europe, whose strangely shaped rocks stimulate the imagination. The landscape changes rapidly as we head towards the foothills of the Cévennes National Park. In the heart of the forest, the impressive Pont de Doulouvy awaits us, its 24 arches rising to a height of 38 meters – a silent witness to a disused iron mine. From there, our guide leads us to a hidden railway tunnel that takes us back to Frigoulet via the Voie Verte (Greenway). Approximately 80 km.

Our half-day excursion takes us to one of the most spectacular viewpoints overlooking the Ardèche Gorges. There, we enjoy breathtaking views of the Ardèche River as it meanders gently, bend after bend, through rocks that can reach 200 meters in height. On the return journey, we pass through the charming fortified town of Virac. Approximately 25 km.

Today, we're exploring the impressive Ardèche Gorges on our gravel bikes. Our route takes us along the breathtaking panoramic road overlooking the gorges, guaranteeing spectacular views. After refueling in the picturesque village of Aiguèze, we'll take secluded forest tracks back to Frigoulet. Approximately 70 km.

We end the week at a leisurely pace on our gravel bikes. We cycle through meadows and fields until we reach the weekly market in Barjac. We stroll among the stalls offering fresh fruits and vegetables, goat cheese, salami, and brioches. We then enjoy the lively atmosphere over coffee before returning to the hotel with our purchases and ending the week with an aperitif on the beautiful terrace of Domaine du Frigoulet. Approximately 20 km.
