Today, we want to get to know the region. Our first bike ride takes us south through magnificent landscapes of moorland and Mediterranean forests to Barjac. Perhaps we'll even spot the first traces of wild boar or wolves today. Along the way, a coffee break in one of the charming little villages is a must, of course.

Today is all about discovering the hidden treasures of the forest. We leave the Domaine du Frigoulet and head towards the Bois de Forestière, home to numerous dolmens. These prehistoric burial sites are approximately 5,000 years old! We continue our exploration in the footsteps of our ancestors to the Beaume du Ronze, a collapsed cave that was once inhabited. Our guides have fascinating stories to tell about today!

Today, we explore the Col de la Cize, the place behind which the sun sets, as seen from Frigoulet. We cycle along the fire road to the Col de la Cize, where we can enjoy a fantastic panoramic view of the Ardèche and the Cévennes mountains. Following other fire roads offering scenic views, we arrive at Sampzon and its distinctive summit. After an easy descent and a refreshing ice cream break, we return to Frigoulet, either via footpaths or other forest roads.

Midweek, we want to take a break. Those who wish can participate in the driving techniques seminar in the morning. Today, we'll analyze the key sections of our usual route together and find the ideal line. The afternoon is free. Those who want to rest their legs while staying active can take a canoe trip on the Ardèche River. Transfers from the hotel and back are provided. Canoeing is practically a must-do during a stay in the region.

Our route takes us to one of the most spectacular viewpoints overlooking the Ardèche Gorges. Here, we enjoy a breathtaking view of the Ardèche River as it meanders peacefully, bend after bend, through rocks that can reach 200 meters in height. On the way back, we pass by the Bastide de Virac, an idyllic village with its narrow streets, and the Château du Roure. We take some time to explore this charming, winding village before returning to Frigoulet via other country lanes.

The weekly market in Barjac awaits us. We cycle there. The morning freshness is fantastic. Fields of lavender and sunflowers pass before our eyes. This is how you imagine cycling in the South of France. After an enjoyable ride, we arrive in Barjac and park our bikes safely. We explore the market on foot. Fruits, vegetables, goat cheese, salami, and brioches, but also clothes, mattresses, and souvenirs. A typical market in the South of France. At one point, we sit in a café and watch the bustle of the market. We return to the hotel by the shortest route. We end the week with an aperitif on the beautiful terrace of the "Domaine du Frigoulet."
